Located 3 kilometers outside of La Fortuna, on the side of a mountain, backing up on the Arenal Volcano. This is a 3.5 hour drive from San Jose, with the last kilometer up a steep hill (4x4 only) to Paraíso de las Américas. This is the same mountain road to Cerro Chato and the La Fortuna Waterfall. Americas’ Paradise Hotel (Hotel Paraíso de las Américas) is a small mountain hotel located on 400 acres. Within a wilderness, and directly at the protected foothills of Paradise Mountain (Cerro Chato) and the Arenal Volcano National Park. The hotel is surrounded by magnificent mountains, gardens, cloud forest trails, the Fortuna River Waterfall, other small waterfalls, and Paradise Mountain blue lagoon. There are 8 standard rooms, 2 deluxe rooms, with plans for 10 luxury log cabins to be completed by June 1999.Continental breakfast is included in rate. The hotel offers its own creative restaurant, featuring a Peruvian chef. From the hotel, there is easy access to the La Fortuna Waterfall, a 150 foot waterfall, set in a rainforest.
